It was a cold and windy day at the second round of the WORCS series, but that all went away after the green flag dropped. DJ Noerr, Cody Mitchell, Chandler Waxman, Levi Shirley and a few others were in front of me after we took off. In the second lap I took third place right behind Chandler Waxman. Not long after, there was a tangle up in one of the corners which put me in 2nd place, where I set my sights on Bryce Peart. On the fourth lap I charged the outside of a corner and passed the number 35 plate. After that I kept the number one position which earned me my first overall of the season. Thanks for the awesome products from Lonestar Racing and Elka suspension, it made my ride much easier and much smoother. Big thanks to my wheels and tire sponsor of GPS off-road products. Your tires got me through the sand and rough terrain faster and smoother. The bike ran good for the majority of the race, I had a little trouble with my radiator but it held up the whole time.

The weather was cold, but it was far better than the mud and rain we had to endure at the previous race in Arizona. This round there was a Pro-Am award of $200 for whoever earned the holeshot after the dead engine start. After we took off I was pushing hard on the first lap. Lots of riders were making mistakes and I did my best to capitalize on them and when the first lap ended, I was in 5th place. On lap number three I had made my way up to third place when my quad started to smell extremely bad. I looked down only to see antifreeze leaking everywhere but knew I wasn’t going to stop now. I was gaining on first place, (#53 Mike Sloan), when my bike really started acting up. It was in bad shape so I kept pushing to see how far it would go until it shut down. I had first in my sites when all kinds of white smoke blew in the air. I pulled over and shut it off as quickly as possible. There were only 4 laps to go and I had to sit out the rest of the race. I was disappointed, but hey! What can you do with a bad radiator hose? Its mechanical failure and no one can predict that! Hopefully next race will go better.
