WORCS Rd. 3 – Lake Havasu

“Havasu is always a brutal course that’s a testament to everyone’s machines. 5 of the top pros ended up breaking and falling out of the race as time went on. 3/4 of the way through the race, I was 3 laps down. Fortunately my Yamaha YFZ450r stayed running longer than the rest of them. After completing 12 laps and getting checkered off the track, I found myself in the top 3. What a surprise it was! I’m very grateful.
This was a really great move for me to keep riding, as I made some big point gains on the other riders that broke. This all goes to show that you never give up until it’s completely over! I’m glad I stopped in the pits to double check my oil and basics before I rode the whole race with a run ability issue. We’re in it for the whole year, not just on the weekends! This weekend put me 3rd in points. I’m only 12 points down from the overall lead in points hunt.
